Ohio Practitioner Diversion Awareness Conference

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is proud to announce an exciting training opportunity in Westerville, Ohio! The DEA is hosting a 1-day Practitioner Diversion Awareness conference which will award continuing education credits from the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) to those in attendance. This conference will be held on Friday, August 8th and for those who cannot make it Friday, we will also host the same training on Saturday, August 9th, 2025. This training will cover topics such as, regulatory requirements and compliance, DEA administrative actions and legal repercussions. The Ohio State Medical Board will present on statutory requirements for physician oversight of PA's and RN's, an overview of OARRS and much, much more. See Agenda for details.
The conference will be held at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel located at 409 Altair Parkway, Westerville, Ohio 43082. The Federation of State Medical Boards designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. See Details.
The closest airport to the hotel is the John Glenn International Airport which is approximately is 20 minutes from the hotel. The hotel offers complementary parking for overnight guests and attendees.
Each one-day conference will be held in the Admiral Ballroom, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You must check in with DEA personnel before the start of the conference. Conference check-in will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. each day outside of the ballroom.
NOTE: You must be employed by a pharmacy or hospital/clinic that is registered with DEA in the state of Ohio, or a pharmacy student in that state.
Seating is limited at these conferences and it is recommended you register as early as possible.
